A New Part of Me

Whoa! It's only been 1.5 months since my last blog. Not that long as I thought! A lot has happened since then... where do I begin...

Moving
Days like this I want to drive away
Pack my bags and watch your shadow fade

Yes, I moved again! Out of Long Beach and into 626 area. Ocean / Beach life wasn't for me. Now it's about convenience, food, and Half&Half boba tea (walking distance!)

If you're ever in the area let me know. I'll show you my hood. :-)

Eyebrows
But that was then and this is now
Now look at me

I gave up my eyebrow obsession of 10+ years and gave in to permanent makeup. Check out my new "look":

I'm not really into fashion or beauty. Not showing off or anything. But I have been getting lots of compliments, so in case anyone else wanted to get theirs done, the lady that did mine is pretty good. Message me for her info.

Goodbye, freakishly straight, drawn in eyebrows!

Poker
This is the part of me
That you’re never gonna ever take away from me

Placed 24th out of ~3000 at the Bicycle's $400K last week. Not much $ but enough to get me motivated to start playing again. Watch out now...

Sponsorship
Now look at me I’m sparkling
A firework, a dancing flame

Yes! Finally my first poker sponsorship! The company's name is LT Elite Group. -- no no no, it is not MY company. It was just a coincidence that they are also an LT. The main guy is working on getting the foreclosure status removed from my credit report. If you have bad credit or need better score for financing purposes, again, let me know.

So next time you see me in a casino, I'll be all patched up. Guess I'm what you call 'selling out'... gotta make that moola somehow right?

Mobile Apps
I just wanna throw my phone away

Working on my first mobile app. Kind of a pain testing on multiple phones, but still interesting. Lots of neat projects in place. Still enjoying the freelance life.

Family
This is the part of me

Looks like my familia will be moving to Cali with me in a few months. Now I have to work even harder to support everybody. No complaints though. Its my duty! Hopefully I can squeeze in a few off days for poker.

Garlic
Like I was poison in your mouth

My current food obsession is Garlic. Everything I make at home is one part garlic one part <fill in the blank>. Peeled and thrown straight in whole. No mince, no chop. Yum. Explains why my breath has been kickin these past couple of weeks. On the brighter side, at least Vampires won't be coming after me. :-)

Blogs Fade Into Darkness

Looking up there's always sky
Rest your head, I'll take you high
We won't fade into darkness
Won't let you fade into darkness

When I'm working, I like to play music or videos to keep me entertained. Currently on my playlist is How I Met Your Mother: Season 6. One of the characters is Barney and he has this blog that is always mentioned on the show. As seasons progress, they joke about how no one writes or reads blogs anymore. Makes me wonder why I still do it, and why 2 of my followers still read it...

Why worry now? You'll be safe
Hold my hand, just in case
And we won't fade into darkness
Fade into darkness

I started blogging over 10 years ago. No reason to stop yet. I've always wanted to start up a vlog (video blog), but kind of hate the thought of seeing myself and hearing myself talk. I wish I knew someone who keeps a vlog... hmm... I have someone in mind right now... gotta go. BRB!

Goodby To You Romance

Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew

Today my 2 o'clock was running late so I decided to check out Fluff Ice (Atlantic Times Square plaza in Monterey Park). The best way to describe this place is: Class 302  meets PinkBerry. The 'fluff ice' isn't as yummy as Class 302's 'shaved snow' but it was still quite tasty. My cousin Tiffany owns a similar joint out in Dallas, TX called Sweet Mix -- they also serve delicious crepes and savory waffles -- a must try!

While I was seated and scarfing down my dessert, a young man walked in and approached the cashier with a bouquet of flowers. I thought he was a delivery boy, but then I noticed his hands were shaking as he handed them to her. I couldn't hear him speak but from his body language, I could tell he was nervous... wait a minute... he's not a delivery boy... those flowers are from him! (my Poker skills coming into play, ha!). She kept nodding her head and mouthing "No, I can't accept his!" but after a few tries she finally caved. He also tried giving her a box of chocolates but that didn't work... he tilted his head down and walked out the door without her number - FAIL. :-(

I actually thought that was a pretty sweet and BOLD gesture. 99.9% people who try to ask me out usually do it over Text Messaging or Facebook. Whatever happened to Face-to-Face or a Personal-Phone-Call? Are guys THAT scared of rejection? Or is the human race evolving into this Wall-E world? Whatever it is, I don't like it.

I hope that girl gives him a chance if he ever comes back.

Here's a short video from Wong Fu productions titled "Technology Ruins  Romance: Destiny" somewhat related to the topic...

Who else here is guilty of Facebook Stalking? :: raising my hand :: No Shame! LOL

Say Hello to 2012 Goodbye 2011

New Year, New Blog(spot)!

This is where I usually list out my new year's resolutions, but since I'm not so good at keeping them, forget it! Let's just say I'm starting this one off on a positive note.

Dear Drama,

Please leave me alone this year.

Sincerely,
LT

It's been a crazy couple of years.. looking forward to what other crazy things 2012 has in store for me. Happy New Year!
